After intensive forum theatre training, a group of 'Kid Opinion Leaders' from diverse cultural backgrounds are ready to take the stage this summer!
Come and listen to their stories...
How do they cope with a packed schedule of homework, exams, and extracurricular activities?
Are children with lower grades ridiculed? Is the school environment conducive to positive peer interactions?
Do children have access to mobile phones and privacy?
Do we want children to have unique creativity, or do we want them to conform to societal expectations?
Join these young leaders on a journey of self-discovery and exploration, as they use a colorful tangram on stage to create endless possibilities.
The Kid Opinion Leader project, funded by the Committee on Children's Rights, aims to empower underprivileged Chinese and non-Chinese children to become leaders. Through training, they will uncover their potential and acquire skills in children's rights and needs, community engagement, and technology. The program enhances their creativity, communication skills, and self-confidence, enabling them to convey their voices to the public.
These culturally diverse children will have the opportunity to showcase their training through a forum theatre performance, sharing their stories and shedding light on the challenges and needs they face.
What is Forum Theatre?
Forum Theatre is an interactive form of theatre where the audience is invited to intervene in the performance. Beyond watching the play, audience members can express their thoughts on the story and even step onto the stage to interact with the actors, attempting to change the plot or resolve issues that arise during the performance.
